Flight Summary
Depart from the V&A Waterfront and journey to Robben Island, named “Seal Island” in Dutch, where Nobel Laureate and former President of South Africa, Nelson Mandela, was imprisoned for 18 years. Today, the island serves as a symbol of the triumph of democracy and freedom over oppression.
From above you will see the prison, a harbour and also a small town of the locals who work on the island. Robben Island also has a number of maritime wrecks around the island and a large colony of African Penguins.
Returning from Robben Island, your flight will take you over the stunning beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay, Table Mountain, and the 12 Apostles culminating in a landing back at the V&A Waterfront, overlooking the Cape Town City Bowl.
