Our Huey helicopter was built in 1966 and served two tours of duty in Vietnam. It has since undergone a meticulous restoration to its original appearance and is kept in excellent condition by a devoted team of engineers. The helicopter is fully operational and offers an exciting and unforgettable adventure to those who seek a thrilling experience.

Our American Uh-1 Bell Huey was manufactured in 1966 and assigned tail number 66-01009.

It served in Vietnam with the US Army when assigned to the 129 Helicopter Assault Brigade from 1966 to 1968, whereafter it did several tours in Germany and Alaska.

In 1970 it was sent to the US Army Helicopter Training School at Fort Rucker Alabama where it was used for pilot training until it was surplused by the US Army in 1996.

It was then flown to the Davis-Montham Air Force Base in Tucson Arizona where it was mothballed until it was auctioned in 2001.

Our UH-1 Huey served in Vietnam with the US Army when assigned to the 129 helicopter assault brigade from 1966 to 1968.
An aviation enthusiast purchased it on the auction and prepared it for civilian use.

We acquired the Huey in 2003 and finally took delivery of it here in SA in November 2006 after a lengthy export approval application from the US Dept of State.

Upon receipt, we employed a veteran former US Army Huey Crew Chief with 47 years hands on experience on Hueys to assist our engineers in the total refurbishment of our Huey.

The helicopter was stripped down to the bare skin, completely repainted in its former military colors, and fitted out with all new components which included the engine, gearboxes and blades.

Our UH-1 Huey is the only Huey in the world licensed to carry passengers.

The South African Civil Aviation Authority certified it for commercial use in April 2007, and we have operated it in various roles since then.

Experience the thrill of flying in a true iconic ex-vietnam veteran!

It is used for tourist flying mostly, and has been flown in approximately 15 feature movies and various television series since then.

We pride ourselves in our Huey and take extremely good care of it.

The US Crew Chief still visits with us twice a year to ensure the ongoing airworthiness of our Huey. Our Huey is kept in pristine operational condition and we invite you to come and experience the thrill of flying in a true iconic ex Vietnam veteran.
